The Provenza Neighborhood Corporation, within the framework of the ARE, is committed to enhancing and beautifying our area. 🌳

In Provenza, we continue to show that when the public and private sectors work hand in hand, the results speak for themselves. Thanks to the Economic Revitalization Area (ARE) partnership—made up of the Medellín Mayor’s Office, the APP Agency, and the Provenza Neighborhood Corporation—our streets now look renewed with a fresh asphalt layer that improves mobility, aesthetics, and the overall experience for everyone who enjoys Medellín’s most visited neighborhood

This intervention is part of the ongoing efforts led by the Provenza Neighborhood Corporation, under the direction of Juanita Cobollo, within the framework of the ARE. The goal is to keep Provenza as a benchmark of order, beauty, and economic progress—without losing its natural essence and vibrant energy.

It took place on Carrera 35 between Calle 10 and 8A, funded through resources obtained from commercial public-space use. This model refers to the rental of strategic areas for brand activations, events, and advertising by companies that see Provenza as the perfect place to connect with their audience.

These resources were approved by the ARE Steering Committee—made up of the APP Agency and the Provenza Corporation—ensuring that all funds collected are reinvested directly into the neighborhood.

đŸ—“ïž Second intervention — November 4 and 5, 2025

This second phase covered Carrera 35 between Calle 8 and 7, and Calle 8 between Carrera 34 and 36. Just like the first intervention, it was completed in record time, with each section requiring only one day of work—showing that it is possible to carry out efficient improvements without affecting the neighborhood’s commercial activity or tourism.

Provenza—one of Medellín’s main hubs for gastronomy, tourism, and entertainment—never sleeps. Bringing its activity to a halt for several days would cause significant financial losses that would affect not only business owners, but also the thousands of families who depend on the neighborhood’s economic flow. That’s why the efficiency with which these works were carried out is a point of pride for everyone who forms part of this community.

Beyond the visual and functional improvement of the streets, these interventions reaffirm the importance of being part of the ARE. Thanks to this model, a portion of the resources collected from the use of public space is reinvested directly into the area, strengthening Provenza’s infrastructure and appeal. It’s a virtuous cycle where everyone benefits—local businesses, visitors, tourists, and the city itself.

For years, the Provenza Neighborhood Corporation has worked to build coordinated relationships with different local administrations—regardless of who is in charge—because what truly matters is the well-being of the neighborhood and the thousands of families who depend on it.

Today, this joint effort with the Mayor’s Office and the APP Agency is a concrete example of what can be achieved when there is commitment, effective management, and a shared vision.

Every intervention, every improvement, and every project represent steps toward the same goal: keeping Provenza a symbol of urban development, sustainable tourism, and paisa pride. And while our streets may be renewed, Provenza’s essence remains intact: nature, entertainment, gastronomy, and joy.
